v3 Arcade is now a member of the vBadvanced family!
http://www.vbadvanced.com/forum/showthread.php?t=47571 The support forums & data from v3Arcade.com have been merged into the vBadvanced.com site. ================================= v3 Arcade for vBulletin ================================= *** IMPORTANT *** Version 2.0.0 has introduced a number of changes to the various file names, phrases, templates, etcetera. If you are using any 3rd party hacks/add-ons then they may need to be updated. Feel free to check over at v3Arcade.com with any questions you might have before upgrading. "v3 Arcade" is the premiere arcade system written specifically for vBulletin. It's coded from scratch - not a port of an older version - and because it was coded specifically for vBulletin it uses the product system for code modifications & utilizes AJAX technology throughout. Here's a brief rundown of the features in this version of v3 Arcade.
Branding Free ================================= All v3 Arcade installations carry and require a small "v3 Arcade" logo in the footer, as well as the text "Powered by v3 Arcade" which links to http:www.v3arcade.com. For information on legally removing the branding, please visit www.v3arcade.com. ================================= www.v3arcade.com ================================= If you're looking for more games, add-ons, support, tutorials, or anything Arcade related - www.v3arcade.com is the place to go. ================================= Copyright ================================= All code & images distributed in this zip is Copyright ?2009 CinVin, with the following exceptions:

What I mean by the possibility of accidental overwriting is: The installation instructions say simply this. Quote:
The instructions should say to install the contents of each of these folders into their corresponding folders on your server. Otherwise, there is the potential to overwrite these folders. Does that make sense? |

No. The contents of the AdminCP folder in the zip file are supposed to go into the AdminCP folder on the server. It doesn't overwrite the folder. The contents of the folder are written to the corresponding folder on the server.

Folders do not get overwritten, only files of the same name would get overwritten, thats basic facts about how file copying/uploading works. |

He understand and give you the accurate reply. Let's say you have "Folder A" on the server containing "file1.php, file2.php, file3.php and file4.php" and you have "Folder A" on your desktop with "file1.php, file2.php, file3.php, file4.php, file5.php, file6.php" inside it. When you upload "Folder A" from your desktop to your server, It will only overwrite existing files and adding new files. It does NOT overwrite the folder itself. So, you will still have your Folder A with all the files intact in addition to the new files you uploaded. |

So you're saying that if I upload the admincp folder itself, in it's entirety, to my forums directory, it wouldn't overwrite the folder in the directory but rather open itself and upload the files in the folder to the corresponding folder?

I installed it and it seems fine in the ACP. I'm thinking the link to it would be
www._______/forums/arcade.php ? When I open that it says I don't have the permissions to view it.. yet I'm super admin. |
