vBSEO LiveStats: On-Demand Search Engine Performance Reports - v.1.1.2
Developer Last Online: Dec 2011
Overview ============================
vBSEO LiveStats gives you all the data you need in a split second, without leaving the forum. You get all the valuable info to know immediately how your pages are performing, without spending any time figuring out the complexities of Google Analytics. Benefits and Example Usage ============================
Example 1 - Why is that thread so hot all of a sudden? You notice more guest users are online. Several of them are reading and posting to a particular thread. You go to that thread and click "stats". LiveStats loads on demand and gives you the micro report. It turns out for the past 24 hours you are getting hits for one of your top keywords! Example 2 - Was that email effective? You send out an email to your forum members, telling them about an important new announcement. How many of them actually were interested? You browse to the announcement thread, load LiveStats on-demand. It turns out 25% of your members visited your announcement within 24 hours of sending the email. Example 3 - Is my participation at another forum getting me any hits? You have been actively posting at a related forum to build links and get some click through traffic. Are you getting any clicks by the visitors there? You browse to the page you were linking to, load LiveStats on-demand, and see if the site you are targeting is sending you traffic this week. It looks like you are getting some hits. Example 4 - I installed vBSEO last month. How much new traffic am I getting? You vBSEO-enabled your forum to get more search traffic, but you want to find out how well it's working. This will be your 30 day progress report. You load LiveStats on-demand on *any* page of your forum and click the link for your Global site report. You set the date for 30 days before you installed. Looks like you got 100,000 hits that month. Now you set it for the 30 days you had vBSEO installed. It turns out you had 105,000 hits the first month with vBSEO, so your traffic is up by 5%. Example 5 - Are your new articles getting any hits? You are building your content by writing new articles related to your forum topic. This week you created 10 new articles. As you visit each article, you load LiveStats on-demand and instantly see the total hits, keywords, and other sites that are sending you traffic since the article was created. Looks like 3 of your articles are doing better than the others. Common factor: A keyword rich title. It turns out LiveStats has helped you zero in on the best way to optimize your content to get more traffic. How do you use LiveStats? Please tell us... What does it do? ============================
============================ The LiveStats engine was designed to extract key performance data securely from your Google Analytics account, displaying the micro reports directly to logged in admins only. I get this error in IE.
Code:
Webpage error details User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; Trident/4.0; SLCC2; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 3.0.30729; Media Center PC 6.0; InfoPath.2) Timestamp: Fri, 6 Nov 2009 01:06:50 UTC Message: Object doesn't support this property or method Line: 75 Char: 5 Code: 0 URI: http://static.crawlability.com/livestats/livestats_b4.js?v=1.0b4 I can see "Global" stats but there is no reports in under the tab. I cannot use the drop down box to change the date either. Any help please. |

Didnt work. In the page stats always shows an "incorrect login" msg. In the Global stats it says "You should specify both login and password".
Both are correct and configured in the admin panel but I just cant login. The product didnt retrieve the Google ID but i entered it manually. |

all works good, except one tiny thing/concern I noticed...
When you scroll and the stats tab is enabled on the left or basically anywhere on the webpage, it looks as if it breaks pages in half during scrolling of the page, and then its fine, as if some parts of the page take slower to scroll and some sections of the page scroll faster. It's because of this stats tab for sure, because it wasnt before, i disable product and it goes away, how can we fix this? or can you please put a fix out on the addon? thanks |

Going back my argument about this modification was it calls images & files from VBSEO (Crawlability) instead of including them and allowing you to self host them. My reasoning was if VBSEO's site became unavailbe then this modification becomes 100% useless.
Well sure enough VBSEO is down and all I get is a RED X and wicked slow load times until it times out trying to pull images and files. Again I like VBSEO (I own and run their software) but I think releaseing a modification like this should contain ALL the files to allow it to work OR at least a warning that it will be useless if the hosting server becomes unavailable. As a side note if you go through the XML file you download (when their server is available) all the images and necessary files. Then edit the XML file to point to the new locations of these files. I would do it for you but VBSEO will not allow even simple fixes to their files to be posted as already demonstrated when I tried to provide a fix in an earlier release fixing this so it worked with vbAdvanced. |

Unfortunatly VBSEO wil not allow you to post any modification of their code even if it as simple as entering a vBulletin variable so that the correct directory structure is read. They will just have it pulled. Been down that route already...

We are all for making things as easy and hassle free as possible. The beta LS was made a plugin, however, it was made clear when first released that the ultimate goal was to make it SaaS, and hosting those files was a first step towards that goal. We have recently devised a method for async js file loading, and will be applying it to LS in the near future. That should resolve any issues with slow loads if vbseo is down for whatever reason. That said, you guys are free to do your own modifications and host the files on your servers, no problem. Once the new file loading approach is implemented, I see this becoming less of an issue though. Juan |

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost....4&postcount=19 Can you please show me where in the description above it says that the files are remote hosted? Also what is SaaS? I am unfamiliar with that acronym. Thanx |
