All Albums 2.5

This hack lets you view an index of all user albums on one page. Looks like a user's index but just has all users instead of just one.

You have to upload the all_albums.php file to your root vBulletin folder. This is the file that you have to access to see all the albums.

ENJOY!

Version 1.1 (03/06/08):

• PHP file only.
• Doesn't show albums that a user can't view.

• Fixed Image count if you have vb3.7.0 Beta 6.

Version 2.0 (03/15/08):

• Product MUST be installed now.
• Shows username
• Phrases are normal now.

• Fixed some issues with extra queries running.

• Changed definition of THIS_SCRIPT to all_albums
• Link in navbar is now phrase along with a template.
• all_albums phrase switched to global phrase
• Added all albums link to navbits when on an album page.
• Added who's online location.
• Added sort
• New option: Default Sortfield
• New option: Default Sortorder
• Added link to quick links.
• New option: Show Navbar Link
• New Option: Show Quick-Links Link
• New Option: Show Link in Navbits of Albums

Version 2.4 (10/24/08):

• Added Search

Version 2.5 (10/24/08):

• Added Search text right near search box
• Fixed a prefix bug when using search.
• If a user knows that to put into a URL to do a search, if search is turned off, it will not work.

MAKE SURE YOU CLICK INSTALL!
You will get an email when a new version is released.

Yep, a "warn user after x days/hours if album is still blank" kinda thing would be great please?
Also when no album cover is chosen at the time of creation.

If still blank after this period, an optional "autodelete of entry" would be helpful too. Saves trudging through the entries and manually deleting each one.

Thank you, this works fine on vb 3.8 beta3.

There is only one thing. The word Submit of the search form is hard coded. You should use the phrase $vbphrase[submit].

And as some users have requested before, please hide empty albums.

getting rid of empty albums has been covered previously in this thread, sometimes searching is your friend

I implemented this hack on my All Albums installation and it works perfectly, and is a very short modification.

any chance we could get a picture url that uses apache mod rewrite to clean up the url from something like http://10.10.1.60/picture.php?albumid=1&pictureid=6 to
http://10.10.1.60/pictures/1/6.jpg ???? that would be awesome i know alot of guys on the car forum i run would love it because it would let them use this as image hosting for their auction stuff thanks alot

I'm a n00b so apologies if this has been covered before, but I've installed a the Whatsyourview style on my forum - just wondering how you go about adding this as an option for the menu? It appears in the drop down of Quick Links, but just wondering how you sit it alongside Control Panel etc in a different skin to standard!

On my site, http://www.shotcritic.com/forums/all_albums.php I have it where it only shows one user album and in a link to all their albums plus profile. When I went to install it on my other site, http://www.garageglamour.com/forums/all_albums.php it lists all the user's albums in the columns.

So I went to copy my old files from shotcritic.com to garageglamour.com and it still lists each persons albums, I'd prefer to just list one album and a link to the other albums, as with large sites, if someone has ten albums, it would take up all the results for that one all albums page. It makes sense to do it more like a search page, listing each member only once.

My problem, I'm no programmer, I'm a photographer and author. So I don't remember how I did it for shotcritic, again, even when I copied the files, it still listed each persons albums on garageglamour.com

Plus, I need one more thing, how can we set the permission on that all page where only registered users can see it?

okay i have read threw all of this ..i currently have the mod and love it ...but i have it on my vbadvanced page and wondering if we can have it post random albums ...i have a mod that does this on just my forum page and has random album and love it ..can we make this have random album so i can show different ones on my main vbadvance portal ?
