The add-on has been updated to reflect Facebook new policy starting October 1st (read more here). Basically this is a maintenance update for user of this add-on from the past. The add-on now supports vBulletin 3.8.x only. In this new version, there are only the basic features: register and login (some simple sharing too). It keeps old settings so you don't need to re-configure.
How to update (this is important):
1. Disable the add-on in AdminCP
2. Upload files in the package (make sure you disable the add-on before uploading)
3. Import the xml in the package, choose Yes to rewrite.
4. Re-enable the add-on
5. Done
Just remember to disable the add-on before uploading files and you will be okie.
A little note for attachment downloads:
- YAFB v1.4 had been downloaded 36 times before I removed it
- YAFB v1.5: 4 downloads, YAFB v1.5.1: 26 downloads, YAFB v1.6: 29 downloads, YAFB v1.7: 22 downloads, YAFB v1.8: 48 downloads
- YAFB v1.9: 150 downloads
- YAFB v2.0: 31 downloads, YAFB v2.0.1: 10 downloads, YAFB v2.0.2: 49 downloads, YAFB v2.1: 55 downloads; YAFB v2.2: 1210 downloads; YAFB v2.2.5: 661 downloads
can i get some clarifications on some settings? i don't quite understand their descriptions and what they do exactly:
Admincp FB Options:
1) Reply Notification - Old Posts Limit
2) Display Sharing Count
3) Auto Register
Usercp Options:
4) Display a Wall Tab/Profile Box in Facebook Profile page
Separate question: What am i supposed to see added to user's profile page when the 'Add to profile block' option is enabled? Is it just a block displaying 'recent facebook posts'?
anyone know what needs to be done for this mod to still work?

To the development team
,
We've been reviewing our logs, and see that you're still using some of the Feed APIs that are being deprecated. In order to provide you with ample time to complete this transition, we are delaying the deprecation date to January 5, 2010 at 10AM PST.
We want to remind you that starting on that day, the only way to publish Feed stories into the stream will be via the stream publishing methods (stream.publish, FB.Connect.streamPublish, and Facebook.streamPublish). Posts published using the stream publishing methods contain only structured plain text data, which makes them easier to render on a variety of devices, including mobile phones and gaming consoles.
This means that we will discontinue support for the following:
Template bundles. You should start using stream attachments with the stream publishing methods instead.
Publisher stories that use templates (please transition them to use stream attachments).
Feed forms that reference the feedStory form and the multiFeedStory form.
One-line stream stories.
We will still publish stories that call users.setStatus and status.set, but encourage all developers to migrate to the stream publishing methods, as they let you set a user's status easily.
We originally announced these changes on our Developer blog on October 23rd, 2009, and included another reminder on December 2nd, 2009. Stay up to date on our upcoming changes by referring to our Developer Roadmap. You can also subscribe to our blog posts via email, where we announce major upcoming changes.
Just an updates for you guys: yes, there will be a vb4 version soon. I figured out most of the things but the new design of vb4 (which use div tags instead of tables) breaks the interface of YAFB and because I'm not really good at designing and I'm too busy this time of the year (hell yeah, Xmas's coming) so the vb4 version was delayed for over 2 weeks now. Hmm, and yeah, Xmas's coming and I really hope I have Xmas gift for you guys but I won't promise anything. I will try my best to organize things up. It's best if you use this product, please click install and I will send out an update when it's available (according to my plan, the new version will be posted on vb4 section, this thread won't be updated anymore)
Also, I received the friendly notice from Facebook Team also. No worries about it since I made changes to the product already to make it work seamlessly as ussual
PS: New version of YAFB will still support vb3.x boards.
PS (once more): For those who want to use YAFB with 3.6.x, all you need to do is describe in the attached text file. Please follow the instruction. It's a quick writing, if you are confused, feel free to ask here
I have the link to connect to facebook showing up on my site's navbar in the forum but not in my vbadvanced front page. Is there a way to get that to show up on my front page as well?
some of my members complain that even though they have turned OFF 'avatar sync', it still changes the avatar in my forum to the one on their FB. Any help? Tks.
This mod looks terrific. Just wondering the upcoming revision for vB 4 will include the Facebook friend invite functionality so when a FB user joins your forum they're prompted to invite their friends?
