This modification allows your users to add a Profile Welcome Message to the top of their profile page. They can edit the message inline while viewing their profile, or in the User CP.

Installation: (1) Import the XML product file, (2) Create a User Profile field, (3) Insert the profile field ID number in the Profile Welcome Message Options.

Recommended Profile Field settings:

Profile Field Type - Multiple-Line Text Box
Title - Profile Welcome Message
Description - Enter your profile welcome message here- Shown at the top of your user profile.
Max length - 500 to 1000 characters seems to be enough
Field Required - No
Field Editable by User - Yes
Private - No
Display Page - Edit your details

If you want to edit how the message appears at the top of the profile, you can edit the memberinfo_profilewelcomemessage template.

To pick up vbulletin css, edit the memberinfo_profilewelcomemessage template.
On the first line, you see the following.

Change this to.

Also, I didn't like the way it was so close to the tab's, so I added at the
very top & the very bottom of the template.

To me, It stands out better. It's great for dark board's.

~I found it difficult to read the text (no matter the color) over custom BG's.
So I did it this way. It automatically pics up the full user CSS for "Primary Content Areas."

~I liked what you did with the Upper & Lower borders blind-eddie, I just removed the color code to make it fit more pallets(Kinda looks metallic). I also upped the width to 100%(I just like it better that way)

mind sharing what was "updated" as my prefix doesn't say installed anymore, it says updated, yet I don't see any notes?

It fixes the problem in post #14 and caches a template that wasn't being cached.
