PhotoPlog: The Lite Gallery Details »» | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
PhotoPlog: The Lite Gallery PhotoPlog Lite is a gallery script for GIF, JPG, and PNG images. PhotoPlog Lite comes with categories, permissions, comments, search, moderation. The installation takes care of phrases, templates, tables, etcetera. Just follow the README.txt file for installation. There is a license agreement that I request that you abide. Thanks! This thread is organized as follows:Fine Print: see license agreement, no redistribution, copyright retained in full, right reserved to uncheck support box. Requirements: vB 3.5.0+ (development initially based on having vB 3.5.4 though vB 3.6.0+ and vB 3.7.0+ should be okay, but not every version was personally tested) and MySQL 4.1+ (development based on having MySQL 4.1+ though MySQL 3+ may be okay, but not every version was personally tested) and PHP with GD2 and Safe Mode off Does it work on vB 3.5 and vB 3.6 and vB 3.7? Yes, it should. See the requirements. Also, there are two product XML files, one for vB 3.5 and one for vB 3.6/3.7, so import the one that matches your vB version. Live Demo and Official Support: http://www.photoplog.com/ Note on Official Support: With 70 some pages, assuming 15 posts per page, and over 1000 posts, all in one thread, official support for this mod is now held off-site. Apologies in advance for possibly having to register at yet another forum, but IMHO support would be better served elsewhere at this point. All support requests, except perhaps for proven bugs, may be ignored if posted in this thread. Comments, suggestions, etcetera are welcome, but please note that further modifications are not being planned, as this is intended as the final release of the lite series. Fun Fact: PhotoPlog Lite v.2.0.6 had 4330 downloads plus 2262 downloads prior to CSRF protection plus 3031 downloads as of 06 Nov 2010! Show Your Support

Ok we got hacked and had to do a complete restore. Everything seem to be fine with photoplog exacept if you upload photos now. You do not get to see the display window photo. At the bottom it shows the location and iMG codes but no photo and if you goto the main category there is no photo showing either. Everything looks right. Any ideas?

Installed on 3.5.5 no problems! Thank you so much!
A few questions I had... 1. is there a way to make it so that when someone posts a picture or comment it adds to their posts count on the forum. 2. is there a way to also include .jpeg files or other formats? 3. is there a way to remove the "No one" from the category field when uploading images? 4. What's the easiest way to add the "Random Thumbs" box to the forum main page where a link to photplog is listed as a category. Basically I have a category of "pictures" which is just a link to the photoplog index but I want it to display recent pics added or random pics along with the gallery link. 5. is there a way to add it to the main forum search? 6. for some reason I do not see the ability to rate a picture? Thanks again! |

1. You can have it add a count of Images seperately to posts, I'm not sure about comments
2, 5. sounds good, I'm interested too 6. for me the rate option only comes up when I enter a comment |

Just want to make a quick post on this.
No matter what directory I put in the photoplog config file I kept getting an error when pointing to www.mysite.co.uk/forums/photoplog I added index.php to the end of it in my address bar and it shows up fine. Eg: www.mysite.co.uk/forums/photoplog/index.php Can anyone explain why I was getting an error saying no directory exists yet it clearly does and seems to work fine? |

My install is ok now and all working great (clicked install).
I have a couple of questions to ask. 1. Is there any way to set permissions to the folders created instead of as a whole. By this I mean that I want to create an Image folder that only I as admin can alter/add to. 2.Is there anyway I can add a button or link to the users postbar in the forums similar to this one: Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

I have a small problem.
When you go to the photoplog page you seem to be logged out although your logged in on the main forums. Any ideas would be much appreciated. |

2. Look on the very first page, should be the 1-3 posts, it has the option to add the link the users postbit_legacy as you see in your photo. |

Thanks for the reply.
1. I have already set the permissions for use of the gallery but I would actually like a folder for gold members and a folder for me. By this I mean allow them acess to one gallery folder but not allow them access to another. 2. I did notice the code at the beginning of the thread but it doesn't state where to put the bit of code in the postbit_legacy, any ideas? Thanks, Lee. |
