VB Image Hosting Version 1.0.1

This is the port for my hack to vb 3.6.x
check it for vb 3.5.x here

A New installer replaced the old one so you should not face any problems with database

NOTE :
People who were using vbimghost in vb 3.5.x and moved to vb 3.6.0 MAKE sure that you have vbimghost 1.4.1 Since this port will only support upgrading from that ver only
People who do a fresh install use this ver.

Requirements:
  1. requires GD 2.0.1 or later (2.0.28 or later is recommended).
  2. PHP ver 4.3.x or later (newer ver is better).

before you post any error here :
Set that path to your forums correctly in the vbimghost options.
if you getting the error "
"supplied argument is not a valid"
that's because you didn't set the path correctly

Help!

Hey! Seems like a great product/plug-in. Pretty much exactly what I was looking for. I believe I followed the install.htm instructions verbatim. However, they seem to be a little lacking in detail. I'm not a dummy at all. I can't figure out why the new Vbimagehosting doesn't show up in the ADMINCP.

What exactly does this mean?
  • Go to the Admincp and reconfigure the usergroup and the option

Here's my site: http://www.camillegerard.com

I don't get it? Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Ok. Please disregard my problem above. I am being somewhat of a bonehead. I figured out it's under "vBulletin Options." I see it in the AdminCP now. Phew.

Anyway, I have a different problem. What exactly does this mean (from the install instructions)?
  • Go to the Admincp and reconfigure the usergroup and the option

VB Imagehosting seems to be functioning properly but no user (including admins) can post. Where/and how do I set/alter permissions to allow this? Please be explicit ad my boneheaded-ness seems unusually high today.

Here's my error:

Freddy, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

Thanks!

Thanks!
Goto the UserGroups tab in your AdminCp, expand that and click UserGroup Manager and then whatever groups you want permissions set on. Look for the options under the VB Image Hosting options making sure you enable Can upload images ?

Thanks for the quick response. I guess this is my problem and I've screwed something up in the installation becaue I do not see a VB Image Host expandable section in the AdminCP left pane. There is only a subsection of VB Image Hosting under the general vBulletin drop-down options in the CP.

I'm supposed to see scr06.jpg (below) in there am I not? It's not there.

When I do as you suggest under UserGroup Manager, there is no section at all titled "VB Image Hosting Options."

Confused.

You need to look further down the left pane to one of the vbulletin default sections. There you'll find your UserGroup Manager.

Also make sure you refreshed your AdminCP after importing the XML or you won't see what your screenshot shows until you log out and back in.

OK. I found the AdminCP problem. I neglected to copy one includes/xml .php file. That's resolved. It now shows up on the left hand pane. Thanks for the help.

I still have this permissions problem quoted above for all users - can't upload - permission denied. Which permission group am I supposed to be seeing and editing?
