Major Additions - Classifieds

Removed by the Author because:

• For 7 mods, there are 1905 downloads but only 577 clicked installed.
• For these 577 installs I got 4 donations for Brand Free. Make a simple search on the net using the product name and you'll find that 50% have illegally removed my copyright.
• I found 3 vb.org style sites, offering for download my mods but after PAID SUBSCRIPTION, or DONATION

After all, I'll stop be the idiot on this market.

1.- Features

2.- Installation

1. Upload all files and directories including at "vbulletin" directory to the directory where vBulletin is installed.
2. CMOD the following directories to 777
   1. /photos (inside classifieds directory)
   2. /tmp (inside classifieds/photos directory)
   3. /thumbs (inside classifieds/photos directory)
3. For security reasons backup your database AND turn your board off
4. Check at your AdminCP->vBulletin Options->Plugin/Hook System that Plugin system is enabled.
5. From your AdminCP->Plugin System->Manage Products choose Add/Import Product and import the product: product_classifieds.xml
6. If you want to add a link to your nav bar then you must edit the NAVBAR template:
   Search For:
   Code:
   <td class="vbmenu_control"><a href="calendar.php$session[sessionurl_q]">$vbphrase[calendar]</a></td>
   Add Below:
   Code:
   <td class="vbmenu_control"><a href="classifieds.php$session[sessionurl_q]">Classifieds</a></td>
   ....or use any other word you want
7. By default none usergroup has permissions to use vbfclassifieds, so you need to give permissions to any group. Goto AdminCP->Usergroups->Usergroup Manager and edit any usergroup you like to give permissions.
8. If you've installed vbSEO, Login into vbSEO Control Panel, click "Custom Rewrite Rules", insert rewrite rules (attached in vbseo-rules.txt to not lose formatting) and save settings.

1. You can modify the code as you like to meet your special needs
2. You can distribute this code, but NOT FOR PROFIT
3. My copyright link must remain always visible.
4. I'm not accepting donations
5. There is no commercial version. This is the one.

For those who want to remove my link back which appears at the page's footer, they must contact me. Please note that the the license goes by person and not by domain, so you can use it in as many domains are operating by the same person.

You can do it. Much more you can setup different price per category/subcategory.

Would there be any way of restricting a user group to only being able to submit Paid Adverts and another usergroup to Free Adverts?

I ask this as what we would like to do is allow paid up members of the forum (our VIP members) to be able to advertise anything they like for free and standard registered users to have to pay to advertise.

We've had a lot of issues of people signing up to the forum just to sell something and then buggering off, this does nothing for the community. If they have to pay to place an advert then that is at least a small contribution to the community.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I have installed the latest version (1.2.0) and I cannot seem to upload images. The process resolves without errors, but the images are not there. I have double-checked the folder permissions (777) and usergroup settings, but everything appears correct. Ideas?

When I'll find some free time I'll post an update about the email address. As for currencies, currently are hard coded, you can read a post here how to add a new one. In the upcoming update, the currency list will be in admincp.

Super to hear that.
As for adding new currency I did not find post here how to do it but I have edited xml file by searching for USD and you will find 2 instances where currency appear. You need to copy and add extra line in both instances with your currency. Re-upload xml. Do not change what it is but just add 13th line with your currency in both locations.
Hope this help. For me was a reasonable fix until next update
