Following is a non-exhaustive list:

• Simple install
• Ajax based with:
  • Fast and Intelligent chats retrieval through javascript calls to server files (refresh delay configurable per usergroup)
  • Edit/update by double-clicking on a chat
  • Interact on chats through menus and javascript
• Many usergroup permissions to limit features according to usergroups
• Full configuration of the chatbox display:
  Size, position on forum pages, editor layout (either top/bottom input or left/right textarea) and position, number of chats displayed, ...

Wrong fix. You are in the wrong thread too. You should be in the MGC on VBAdvanced thread by Stagger..... He clearly explains how to fix it.

First... I apologize for for posting to the wrong thread.

Second... I did read Stangger5's thread and did try all of the suggestions in that thread too... They didn't work either. They worked for the previous version of MGCChatbox, but not for this particular upgrade. The fix that I posted above which you say is "wrong" WORKS FOR ME and might help out a few other people who are having the same issue I WAS having BEFORE applying what you consider "WRONG".

Now I know it's not the prettiest thing. I hate when things aren't tidy and neat but, this is how I was finally able to get it working after reading through hundreds of posts (Before posting my "fix").

Yeah, having the VBa MGC chat module can be a pain....Template edits to fix if it wasn't in the default location. Ugh.... I know Stagger knows how to fix so try pm'n him too..Sometimes he just forgets.

I've not been able to replicate that issue, but with the 4.0 version, it will be a huge rewrite, so we are not sure all of the bugs will carry over. Generally we keep all the bugs here on the list and VBDev works them out, but with AWJunkies taking over he might do it differently, I'll relay to him and hopefully he'll do it the same way Dev did.

Hi,

I've upgraded to Vb4.0 and removed MCG Chatbox Evo But it's still appearing in the permissions section and there are 3 fields in the usergripus database.

As i result I am getting errors changing permissions..

Any idea how i can remove whats bee left behind?
