MyLs1.com Gifts ( Facebook Style )

This is a product that will allow members to send gifts to each other, The way Facebook does

This 1.0.2 Update just replace the gift.php file on the root directory.

This product was for sale before but now is finally released for free.

1- Upload files to their respective folders:

admincp / gifts.php

images / gifts

includes / xml / bitfield_gifts
cpnav_gifts

root directory / gifts.php

2- Import product:

MyLs1_Gifts.xml

3- Memberinfo Template edit, find:

Set your settings on the admin cp
Add gifts as follows:

example:

- Name of the gift: Beer
- Description of gift: Budweiser
- Choose category: drinks
- enter url ( images / gifts / drinks / budweiser.gif )


Provided are 2 folders, one for drinks and one for love
There are few drinks in a .gif format and some roses in a .gif format, but you will have to add your own gifts / icons

On the members profile there will be the block called gifts
There are 2 links, Give a gift and View all.
When they click on Give a gift, it will take them to a page where the categories are.
Click on the categorie, check the gift to send, add messages and Give.

To display gifts count on postbit's:

Add new plugin

Hook Location: showthread_postbit_create

Okay I've spend the last four hours doubting myself and I just can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. My images will not show up in gift list no matter what I do. I've reinstalled and all may paths are set and everything upload. Can someone please take a look at the attachments and see if I'm doing something wrong? Very much appreciated.

make sure you enter images/gifts/drinks/shot_full.jpg or whatever the name of the gift is in the path. You're not entering the correct path, thats why its showing a broken image.

'right click' over the broken image and post what it says here so I can see what you're entering...

I've right clicked over a non showing image in the lift of gift in the gift manager. This is what it's says. Ive entered that path and it's not working either. prior I had that path minus the admincp.

It should be

images/gifts/drinks/budweiser.gif

is your vbulletin in a folder or in the root? Like is it yoursite.com/forum or something like that? If so, add that to the front as well like

forum/images/gifts/drinks/budweiser.gif

try both of those... if they still dont work, try adding a forward slash too at the begining like

/images/gifts/drinks/budweiser.gif

or

/forum/images/gifts/drinks/budweiser.gif

try those 4 ways

check the permissions of the folder and the files. Make sure they're 644 (you can change the permissions with the ftp program you use to upload the files.
