DownloadsII
DownloadsII is a download database that integrates into vBulletin. It allows you to upload files, add images to them, create categories, link to external files - and more. It is very flexible and has many options. It's also coded 100% XHTML 1.0 Transitional valid, just like vBulletin itself. Instructions & Support Requires vBulletin 4.0.4 or higher. Not fully compatible with lower vB 4 versions. It works fine with both the new editor in vB 4.1.4 or higher and the old one in previous vB versions. Read the instructions in the next two posts before installing/upgrading this mod! You can find an installation/upgrade manual in the zip package (Readme.txt). I try to answer most questions asked in this thread. Please don't send any pm's if I don't ask for them. Don't forget to click the install link, so you will receive important update notifications. Screenshots & Live demo At the bottom of this post, you can find some screenshots of the front-end and back-end (AdminCP part) of the DownloadsII software. You can find a live demo on my own site: Minatica.be Downloads (Dutch). Though keep in mind that we are running a restyled and modified version of it. Changelog (version 6.0.9) Jelle
Help!!! I can't upload large files?? This is probably the most asked question. It's mostly caused by some default PHP settings: check "PHP Max Post Size" and "PHP Maximum Upload Size" at your AdminCP home. Then have a look at this post for the solution to up these values. Also have a look at this post at vB.com (but ignore the MySQL part as DownloadsII is only using the file system). Add-ons There are currently no official add-ons. Unofficial add-ons are listed below. Hello everyone, thanks for the great MOD.
I would like to create a list with all file names entered in the various sections, so that users can view the contents. It can be done? |

This may be a dumb/obvious question....
I am hosting video files with a different ISP. I can link to them just fine from Downloads II. However, when clicking download it is opening the files. You can right click the download button and "save target as" to save the file. Is there a way to make this the default action when left clicking download? Thanks! |

We still have the same problems as with this mod on vb3.8
- secondary usergroup issues - you have reached your daily download limit (without downloading anything) - security token issues All rights have been set correctly in the usergroup manager, so i am pulling my hair atm |

Hello everyone, well I have a very rare problem, is that when trying to upload a file to download it does not, I opened a blank page and stays there when doing nothing.
Then I have to from admin, import that file, edit it to put back the text. You know that can happen? A greeting. |

This is the thing I really don't understand with this mod. I have changed a certain usergroups settings to:
250MB upload limit 250MB download limit -1 on amount of files With this usergroup i've tried to upload a 12,8 kb file and it says it will exceed the daily upload limit... Doesn't make any sense to me |

While importing multiple files from a folder, it would be nice if it kept that path and create the link to that particular folder and file, maybe it is needed to move them to calculate the size?
Either way, looking good so far, thanks. |
