DownloadsII

DownloadsII is a download database that integrates into vBulletin. It allows you to upload files, add images to them, create categories, link to external files - and more. It is very flexible and has many options.

Because a lot of people keep on asking this:
This mod works with any version of vBulletin 3.7.x and 3.8.x!

It's also coded 100% XHTML 1.0 Transitional valid, just like vBulletin itself.

Help!!! I can't upload large files??

This is probably the second most asked question. Have a look at this post for the solution.

It doesn't work with GARS?!

If you also use the latest version of GARS, you will get the "Fields marked in RED must be filled in!" error when uploading a file. I provided a fix here on the GARS forums.

Addons

We are offering 3 addons for this mod at the moment (have a look at the bottom of this post for them). DownloadsII contains 5 hook locations for the vBulletin plugin systems, so you can add extra functionality without file edits.

Notes

• ecDownloads Buddy is NOT compatible with this version. If you are using the Buddy, you should UNINSTALL it before installing DownloadsII ver 5.x.x. The Buddy's features are now integrated into DownloadsII.
• DownloadsII is a direct derivative work from Ron1n's ecDownloads.

At this moment, only the downloads log is pruned. Statistics (which are not very great, I know) are meant to stay, although you can prune (or even empty) the dl_stats table yourself using phpMyAdmin.

But indeed, good idea to add a similar option for the stats log

That's not possible at the moment, but this is on our todo list. So only one file (and unlimited images) per item at this moment.

1. Will there be options to allow comment approval on downloads?
2. Will there be a dead link report button?
3. Will there be comment reporting?

Ment the downloads log

I had it set to 5 days and I still had a year of downloads in the log.

I pruned it manually, it was taking up some space. Any reason why it wouldn't clear when the hourly cron job runs?

Hello.
I have installed DownloadsII 5.1.0.
I view now that, my forum, in downloads, not appears the credits, any credit, and I don't know if this, is because I installed a translation. How can made for appears the credits?

In other "problem", I view in other forums that, when acces to Downloads and acces to category for view downloads, all downloads appears with an icon/image, with this:

And the url that call to this icon/image is:

http://www.mydomain.com/forum/images/buttons/collapse_tcat_collapsed.gif

But in my forum, not appears this icon/image, and the url that call a "some image" is:

http://www.mydomain.com/forum/images/buttons/avatar.jpg

I don't know because my url for this icon/image is different and I don't know how solved this.
