What this is and does
LDM is a general-purpose link and file manager, which handles user uploads and downloads in a flexible way. A range of media players is integrated into LDM and others are included as plugin extras. LDM is described below in the first post of this thread, which also contains a brief list of the currently-known bugs.
This release of LDM works correctly with all VB versions 3.6.x and recent versions of vbadvanced.
There is supposed to be a CSS styling feature that will automatically wrap long text (style="word-break: break-all") but it only seems to work with internet explorer, not Mozilla or Opera.
AHA!, I had that problem too... i just put a comment tag on it
Thanks - glad you've got things going how you want - but I don't think that that is a proper fix. You've moved the test to before the point where the code has worked out the size of the download. It's correct for links, but not for downloads.
Yes, you are right. But that's all what I can do -- even so I also spent much time to find it out. I'm still waiting for you new version, I hope you have add this to the todo list.
Now I have another question. When I check the hit records in the admin page, the number of the records per page use the links_per_page by default. Can you assign a single variable so that I can set it with a relatively bigger number?

Thank you in advance.
I'm stll waiting for the new version too
Seriously, I believe that I have fixed this problem in 2.2.8.
I'll also give you a variable/hook to set the number of hits per page on the admin page.
The news on the next version is as follows: I've done quite a number of changes and fixes, but the 'big ones' that I promised (mirror urls, multiple urls and metadata) are currently 'in hand' and require careful coding. I hope to be able to release all of these at one time.
leider is mein english so schlecht das ich es lieber in Deutsch probiere.
Ich versuche gerade f?r die Linkliste die Vorschaubilder zu machen aber leider komme ich mit der englischen Beschreibung nicht klar.

** Requires php5 - php4 will not work
Plugin to use Joshua Eichorn's web thumbnail service to autocreate thumb images for entries in LDM.
You need an account, which is free for less than 250 webthumbs a month, and very cheap for more than that. See http://bluga.net/webthumb/.
Copy WebThumb.class.php into your forums directory and install webthumbs-plugin in the usual way.
Visit your LDM admin/settings page. You will find a new section of settings for webthumbs.
Update webthumb_key to the (long) hex character sequence for your account.
If you wish, modify the webthumb_dir subdirectory setting (relative to your LDM uploads directory). By default, the image is
saved in the /webthumbs subdirectory of the uploads directory
When you add or edit in entry in LDM, and:
a) the image field on the add/edit entry form is left blank;
b) the url points to a web site;
c) the web site validates correctly;
d) the url *does not* point to a file with a filetype that exists in the VB mimetype table;
e) LDM admin setting link_imagesize has been set to a value greater than non-zero
the plugin will visit the web thumbnail service and attempt to generate an image of the page.
This takes a few seconds to complete.

I have run into an issue that I was not able to find a fix for in this thread. I am getting this error on the bottom of the list of links. It happens when logged in as Admin or a registered user. I know it is a permissions issue but cannot, for the life of me, figure it out. Here is the error:
Sorry - there is nothing here to show you (no permission, all entries hidden, etc)
