I will no longer support vBulletin because of IB and the agile development, and they are not fixing bugs like they should. Instead they add bloat.

WOW - this sounds like good news - I'll give it try this afternoon on my 8 Calendars.

When posting a event, if the event happens over a range of dates, I have to enter starting and ending times. Also, when displaying the events, the starting and ending times appear.

In my application, having to enter starting and ending times are not desirable. I have to make up times, when posting and event using the range tab because the application forces the starting and ending time entry. Then the made up starting and ending times show up in the event listing.
Is there anyway to eliminate starting and ending times from the events? I see I can remove the variable $DATETIME, but then the Date does not appear either. If there were a $DATE variable, that only returned the date, then at least the listing would not show the starting and ending time values.

Is there a way I can change this?

Thanks for the great Mod!

Not sure if this problem is related to this mod or Farcaster's Event Attendance v3 (for vb4).

I can add threads that are associated with a calendar, but shouldn't I be able to simply post a thread too?

Yes, we've been so hung up on the multiple calendar issue it's time to fix the other two. Specifically:
  • Users cannot edit or delete calendar events
  • OP's avatars not showing
I have confirmed both. On the line below the post for an admin, you see "Move Event, Edit Event, & Request Reminder for this Event". But regular users only see "Request Reminder for this Event". Calendar Permissions are set use "use default perms", and default usergroup calendar perms are all set to "on" (users can edit and delete own events).

Installed a little time ago but now i am walking against a problem.

When i have alot of event (Cutoff at 5) and you go via the calender to that day then all the events are nicely under eachother but i can't reply to one of those events and there is also no link in each event that goes to the forum thread.

Am i doing something wrong in the settings ?

Everybody. Add it to the other two bugs (no avatars, no member editing).

I'm having trouble with users in the default 'registered users' group, using default usergroup and forum permissions, are unable to create a new event. Admins and Super Moderators can do this with no issue, but when a registered user attempts to add a new event I receive I database error email, and the new thread goes into 'moderated' status. The new thread is not linked to the calendar event and the RVSP add-on also isn't shown in new thread either.

The DB error I am receiving is as follows:
Database error in vBulletin 4.0.2:

Invalid SQL:

DELETE FROM vb_moderation
WHERE type = 'thread'
AND threadid = 49;

MySQL Error : Unknown column 'threadid' in 'where clause'
Error Number : 1054
Request Date : Wednesday, May 5th 2010 @ 03:49:15 PM
Error Date : Wednesday, May 5th 2010 @ 03:49:15 PM
Script : http://forums.xxxx.com/calendar.php?do=update&e=
Referrer : http://forums.xxxx.com/calendar.php?...single&c=1&f=4

Again, this does not happen for Administrators and Super Moderators.

Any thoughts?
