Aligning thumbnails in showtread 3.5rc2

I'm wondering if anyone can give me help on aligning the thumbnails in threadview to the left top.

You can see what I mean here:

I'd like the thumbnail to show up on the top left of the message. Also, the thumbnail does not link to the larger image... Can anyone help me out or point me in the right direction?
