I run a forum and want to allow users under the age of 18 to be able to access and post in only one category. Is there any way to set this permission?

The only way I can think of to do this is require birthdays as part of registration, create a specific usergroup for those under 18, and move the folks under age 18 into that group.. then deny them access to all other forums except their specific forum..
I don't know how, but I am sure at signup you may be able to do a hack where if the persons age is under 18, then it immediately puts them into an assigned usergroup.. in fact, you may want to post a request in the vB3 hack request forum for that.. |
