Style ID Issue

I've installed and removed so many styles since I've had my site up and was wondering how I can reassign a style id to a style..
On my site I only have 3 styles yet I'm up in the 20's for style id's.. Can I clear them out and reassign my 3 ids 1 2 and 3?

Help is greatly appreciated.
