i added the Vpager but it doesnt show on the online part of my template

i did this edit to the template but it doesnt show at the bottom of the template in the whos online. it shows when i click on the link to bring up the whos online list but not on the homepage of the template. i followed the template edit at the bottom. please let me know why it doesnt show up. im adding this to all of my templates and this one is giving me issues. ive done about 3 so far the same way but this ones stubborn. so please help. thanks
