If on lower resolutions, my header is too large, and you have to horizontally scroll, is there a way to make the body (the rest of the forum including the footer) stretch out to that width too? My header looks funny as the only thing that is too wide. It would look better if the whole site was too wide.

You need to get rid of the fixed widths in your template code, and just leave it as the setting (%) in the Style Settings.

It's not a fixed template. It expands to 100% in all res, however, in 800 x 600, if my header has a large banner in it, you have to horizontaly scroll, but only the header is stretched from the banner, not the site. I don't mind that you have to scroll because most people don't use 800x600, but i want the whole site to stretch with it.

If you use the % width value in the Style Settings, it is the % of the whole screen that the table will take up. If the header stretches the table, that new space is counted in the % and the table stretches accordingly. Since your forum is not doing this, I would think that in your header code (possibly) your table is being set at a fixed width.
I may be wrong about this, as I've never had to solve this problem myself, but if you are sure you are using the % value for page width in the Style Settings and nothing in your code limiting the width, I'll look into this further. |
