Adding the Navbar into the Header (screenshot)

I'm trying to insert my Navbar into the Header of my template. I've inserted all the "navbar" template code into the "header" template code using the Styles Manager.

I'm able to view most everything, however the breadcrumbs are not displaying.

Here is a screenshot. Notice the top navbar doesn't have the breadcrumbs:

That's most likely happening becuase the variables for forumname and category name will not work in the header.

You'd probably need to hack (or possibly through phpinclude) to get them working in there.

You would need to recode 99% of the way the navbar works, you can move the links, but not the path, into the header, and that would take alot more than 10 dollars to do, it would be a 3-4 hour project at the very very mininum.

Hmmm... I think I've seen a hack that put the Forums into the Navbar menu... with a dropdown. That might work, huh?

I guess the overall goal is not to not lose the ability to navigate through the Forums... even though they can still just click the Forums button.

You can add the links but the breadcrumb wont go

Several people have told you that you can't do what you originally asked....

but there are some things you could do--not exactly what you want, but closer.

1. As you see in your example, the welcome box *can* be put into the header--I think its a more-appropriate place for it.

2. You can edit the navbar template so that the breadcrumb displays below the navbar itself. This allows the bar to tuck up against the header and makes it look like part of it. The breadcrumb then dangles down into the white space below. I made these changes on my site--was pretty easy.

As others have said, you can only move the navbar linkes in the header.. As seen in this link

You can accomplish what you want by editting every master display file in vbulletin(forumhome, forumdisplay, showthread, showpost, etc) and place the contents of your header directly into them - but you're in for a grade A migrane if you ever want to change your header.
