I've got a post at vbulletin.com that probably won't get any help there, so I'm hoping somebody here can figure it out:
http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?p=736338 From gfd: My thread icons only show when viewing the actual threads. No thread icons appear anywhere else. From Me: I have the same problem. Interestingly enough, I also have vBadvanced CMPS installed, though based on what I've found so far that doesn't seem to have anything to do with it... I've been trying to track it down, but can't figure it out. After updating the first post in a thread to change (or add) a post icon, I see that the thread table STILL says icon = 0. But even if I update the iconid in the thread table manually, I can't get anything to show on the forumdisplay thread listing... ![]() gfd, I assume the soccer ball is your default icon? Does that icon get set in the iconid column of the thread table or am I chasing the wrong value there? I THINK (I'm just a vB newbie, what do I know?) that it might be a problem in iconcache. When I check the conditionals in functions_forumdisplay.php that build the icon bits, I find that in: Code:
// get icon from icon cache if ($thread['threadiconid']) [update] Ok, when I post a NEW thread with an icon, thread.iconid gets set. Yet, there is STILL no icon showing on the thread listing (but it does show on the thread display). [update] That's odd. When I post a BRAND NEW thread, thread.iconid gets the right value. And when I update that post, thread.iconid also changes. But in neither case does the thread icon show on the thread list. What's even wierder is that when I edit an EXISTING thread, thread.iconid will NOT change. And of course does not show in the thread list... ![]() ![]() |
