XHTML & Compliancy woes..

I've been working on a new forum skin, only to find that it looks rather bad in Mozilla Firefox and other such browsers..

The postbit for example, looks different in Mozilla than it does in IE6. I've attached screenshots of this, and below is the code that I am using (rather scrappy atm) - can anyone possibly help me out?
