Should I put new graphics in my site? Youd decide :)

Anywasy, if you visit my site: www.muscle-mustangs.com you'll notice that the header image is a little blury, dark, and has a lot of detail. I've noticed the larger sites use less detail in their header.

So I did a photoshop of something I think would look good. (See attached pic) Thats just a photoshop, if I used it for real, I would take out the yellow in the header and use red, and change the immage of the car in the upper left corner to a mustang. Another cool thing I like about the new header is that if I did use it, I could make my site more holiday orriented. Meaning, when christmass, halloween, etc rolls around, I could put holiday photos up in the upper left corner instead of a mustang. I personally think thats a great Ideal. What do you guys think of this?

NOTE: Remember, that picture is just a photoshop, the real image will look a lot nicer and match up a lot better

You shouldn't fret. You're current site content looks great apart from the huge welcoming font in serif, which goes against the flow of the design. Also I agree you do need a new header

Yeah, I'll have to change that welcoming sign, I actually have new fonts that I haven't installed yet.

I'm going to do some more photoshoping with the new header by changing the yellow to red, putting a mustang up their, and changing the font. Then I'll put it in my HTML file and upload the pic so you guys could get a better view of it.

Ok here is the real thing. The text on the right will be changed, I just have to find a better text. Do you guys think it looks better than my current one and if you have any suggestions, feel free to make them

It's looking better. The navigation links have little space to breathe (in the header) so you might want to consider giving them more padding. Also I'd remove one line break between your content and header on the left hand side.

Cool, I did that and I think it looks 100X better, I just hope it'll look good with the other stuff in my site. I'm going to go ahead and upload the new images to my main index file so we can take a look at it with all my other content. It should only take a few min or so

Still can't make up my mind though, half of me says keep the current one and the other half says change it :ermm:

ok, I put the new images up on the main index file and the forum. I left the other pages out until I get some feedback on it though from users on this site and mine as well

Just another suggestion, mustangs are a real beefy car. Why not show it in all it's glory showing part of the side as well as the front. Kind of like this angle: [high]\[/high]

I Tried! lol That was the only professional looking mustang that I could find. The rest are sitting out on streets or in driveways. Give me a second and I'll try to find a better mustang picture that shows the side as well as the front
