Flash geniuses?

I have been trying to learn flash this week and i finally worked out how to embed a sound clip in a swf file which is 1px by 1px and transparent. However the loop is 19seconds long and when i set the mp3 to a reasonable quality when exporting it all the size of the swf files comes up to 160kb. So how can I stream it as 160kb on every page load which is a lot as my site receives so much traffic is far too much.

If someone could help me out or give me any tips i'd be most grateful

You can't really get around the filesize, but you can set the site to be two frames, one with a 100% height/width, and the other with a * value. Put the loop inside the * frame, this way your site appears to be a regular site, but the loop plays wherever they go without having to reload.

To stop the music, just make a link that opens up whatever page they are on, and target it to _parent so that the hidden frame disappears.

Well i decided to drop using flash and use swish in the end. A friend of mine who is in the vBulletin.org chat room helped me.

I have used Flash for 5/6 years now. And u can drop filesize actually. Flash 6 has the option to compress.

As for DD im not sure of it sorry Mist, the current graphics look ameteurish

my friend nick was always telling me about swish and sumthing that are going to knock out flash, but nice site, and it didnt take long for the music to load, looks good

Swish and Swift are not going to nock Flash.

Swish = some simple text and shape effects
Swift = 3DSMAX / Flash integrated together

You're going to have a sound loop on EVERY page? I beg of you, please allow the user the option to choose whether they want to turn on sound. Please, please, please.
