I've got this forum on my site where people can come to download videos and such, but we want people to also post as well and we feel they're just registering for the videos.

So what I was thinking, and if it could be done this would be really cool...using the points hack thingy, where you get points by posting etc, I was thinking...would it be possible to make a hack so people can only enter a thread if they pay(with points) to get into it, or pay to download the link etc.

Would anything like this be possible because that would encourage posting on my site and would be very cool.

BTW I'm using shinra's posting points.

the idea is good as the hack is doen - i seen it in action but you need to wait for lesane to release it m8 like rest of us.

I'm using shinra's posting points instead now...so hopefully this'll be easier to code for someone...if not...damn

I started something like this, that can block users from a forum based on Points or Posts.... It's getting along....

BTW, gw, what's the name of the table that the points are stored in, and what's the name of the variable? Ex: lesane store uses $storep in table user.

I found this hack which is the same as what I want but you need a certain amount of posts.....not points.

Can someone edit it so I could use the points system instead

Well i've edited that already to work with the points thingy and that works. So now people have to have a certain amount of points to get into the thread....but i'd rather have it so when you view the thread it deducts points.

So if anyone could help me with that bit of code, i'd really appreciate it
