admin cp edit .php files

I just had an idea for a really cool hack, if someone could take my dreams into a reality, then it would kick ass.

The hack would allow administrators to edit .php files on the server side. I believe this would cut back on the hastles of having to do everything via ftp.

If anybody could do this, i think it would rule.
