I have a very simple question about templates, and thats how do I use them?
Say I create a template called "my_stuff", and inside that template I put a table with some html and text. Well, I wan't to call this template from the forumhome template, it doesn't matter where, I just want to call it. So would I call it using a variable called "$my_stuff"? How does this work out? I've already tried the above example and it didn't work, do I need to add something to a php file? Any help would be appreciated, thanks. |

you gotta put this line in index.php
eval("\$my_stuff = \"".gettemplate('my_stuff)."\";"); just put it right above this and it should work eval("dooutput(\"".gettemplate('forumhome')."\");" ); |

Well if you wan't the template to be on the index.php page, then in index.php I don't think it matters where you would put
Code:
eval("\$YOURVARIABLE .= \"".gettemplate('TEMPLATENAME')."\";"); |
