I guess this is the right place to post something like this. I couldn't seem to find a FAQ on it. What exactly is vbPortal and what is it used for?

Do I need this to run all hacks or just a select few that are intended?

Also, what is Nuke, and do I need that to run vbPortal?

vBPortal is just something like you see at http://www.vbulletin.org , but with a lot more stuff added. You can read more about it at http://www.sforums.com (The official site). And you do not need it to run hacks. And no you do not need Nuke to run vBPortal.. They are different software.
