I designed a new template/site design, but I want it so IT'S the default, and the old one is the option, if people want it... not the other way around.
How do I go about doing this. This could be in direct relation to that question too, In the properties of the new template there are these settings: Replacement Set Template Set What do each of these do? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated, THANKS! |

Style Set = Replacement Set + Template Set
To make the default show up for any given style, just set the properties of the 'Default' style set to use the Replacement and Templates sets of style you want to show as default. |

When I do that it won't give people the option to pick a template.
Here is what I have and want. I have my first template that is named default. I designed a new template called Extra Crispy. I want the new default one to be the Extra Crispy design, so when people first come to the site they see the new design, I want the old design, that was the previous default to be selectable in their control panel. When I change the default to the extra crispy then in the control panel when you try to change back to the old design, it's still the new design. How do I fix this? ![]() |

It will work if you do what I said. (By the way, users cannot 'pick' template sets. They pick styles.)
As for changing back to the old design, just make sure that style points to the correct replacement and template sets. |

I have registered on his board, and his default style isn't even user selectable, which is weird.
If I browse as a nonmember, the board is green. The second I registered, the style was black and gray and the green style wasn't even an option. Amy |

No. It won't create an endless loop.

Your default style should point to the extra krispy templates and replacement set.
Your Extra krispy style should point to the default templates and replacement set. IF you did not change or overwrite your default templates and replacements, this will work. However, I noticed that you had something weird going on before when I registered at your board. (see your cross post at the .com site). Given that I don't know what you tried to do before, it's a bit difficult to know if you have indeed wiped out your green style with your previous tinkering. Amy |
