Maybe it's in here somewhere but I can't find the answer.
I would like to keep header-1 and header-2 fixed and NOT refresh when someone clicks on any other link. I have a flash image with sound and want it to remain playing while they click to their hearts content. As it stands now every-time I click on a link it refreshes and starts all over. Any ideas? thanks, bill |

Yeah.... All the pages call for the header on load... I am at a loss right at the moment ways and means to prevent this. Only thing that comes to mind immediately is if it were a independent pop-up, but then again it wouldn't be a header anymore if it was.

Only way I can think of would be to redo the site using a framed layout where the header was it's own frame so that it necessarily update, but that would be a lot of work as basically everything, template wise at least, would need to be redone from the ground up.
--------------- Added [DATE]1386615517[/DATE] at [TIME]1386615517[/TIME] --------------- One other suggestion would be to change all links so that they display with the current unix time stamp from the time the page was requested, on additional page loads the time difference between the new page request and the received page request would be the amount of time elapsed in the flash video. |

Even if it were served from another domain... You would still have to go through all the templates and remove the $header hook. Then re-code all of them to point to the source. They might STILL then reload that header.
