Sharing login credentials between vBulletin and Big Commerce

Hi,

I'm looking at using Big Commerce to sell goods, but would really like for users who have an account or create an account through vBulletin, to automatically have an account on the Big Commerce side of my website too.

It seems as though I need a way to share account credentials between the two software platforms. I would think the best way to do this would be for users to register through vBulletin (redirected to a vBulletin registration page if coming from Big Commerce), but be prompted to enter shipping details when on the Big Commerce side, after purchasing a product.

Anyway, is anyone able to advise on how I could share credentials between the two databases? I'm just not sure where to start. A point in the right direction would be incredibly helpful!
