Notifications At Top For New Post Reply - Similar to Facebook

Hi guys,

I recently visited a forum running the IP Board software. At the top of the forum when logged in you have a notifactions bar, just like on vB and Facebook i guess. Except this notifications acts more like Facebook. Where as you get a notification for someone replying to your post or liking your post.

I've searched the forum, no luck. So i'm asking. Is there a way to set up the notifications at the top to respond to someone replying to your post or someone hitting thanks or like ?? Just like on facebook.

I know if you hit subscribe thread you will get an email notification but that's not what i'm after. I'm after a little icon at the top that shows you a hit when someone has replied to your post.
