I just recently updated to a 3.8 from a 3.5 and I'm seeing this new problem I never had before. Basically, exactly as the title says: I have a BBCode which I use as an alternative to the standard [img] code. It encapsulates an image's URL and formats it in an img src. The only difference is it stretches the image to the exact width of the postbit. I therefore use it occasionally when I specifically wish to display images in this way. Unfortunately, ever since my upgrade, the image URLs have been auto-parsing as hyperlinks, which, of course, breaks the HTML of the image's custom BBCode. I end up with hyperlinks and little chunks of HTML displaying in a post rather than the resized images I am expecting.
I can uncheck the "automatically parse links" option in the Advanced Post screen, of course, and the tag will work fine, because the URLs won't parse any more. But I'd like to allow the BBCode to work by itself, without requiring I take any additional steps to make it functional every time I make a post. does anyone have any leads or suggestions I can follow to get to the bottom of this issue? Thank you. --------------- Added [DATE]1332000499[/DATE] at [TIME]1332000499[/TIME] --------------- nevermind, I'm retarded. I just realized the option existed to disable this, per-BBCode, in vB 3.8's updated Custom BBCode options. Anyone reading is welcome to ignore or delete this post. |
