Long time no see, Looking for some software ideas.

I haven't been around for probably a couple of years now, mostly gave up on the website thing....mostly.

I've actually been busy with life, as broke as one can posibly be, and now currently in school so time and money have been more like a vague memory of something you used to have and enjoy but can't quite remember what it was.

Anyway I was sitting around here just toying with some ideas on a totally unrelated subject and had an idea about something I wanted to do for a website but don't really know what I need to do it so I thought I'd come bounce some ideas around here.

First and foremost I'm looking for as simple as possible, and I already have half a blog setup running joomla somewhere on the interwebs if I can somehow make use of that.

What I want to do is setup a website that will allow people to post designs like circuits and stuff, somewhat like a directory that users can upload there schematics and type up a blurb or something like that.

I don't want to limit it to just electronics though, there would likely end up being different categories.

PHP/MySQL based solution is prefered, so is FREE.
I would start researching a bunch of stuff but I honestly don't have the time so I'm just hoping that someone might already know some pre-existing software that will work for me.

I also like skins/themes......no one likes a bland website even if it is simple.
