Can I delete lots of threads this way, or will it be a hassles because of counters and so many affected tables? I want to be able to repeat the process many times, so the speed matters. Also the database is big and I want to only keep a fraction of the threads.
It's great if I could simply tell mysql to drop all the data that matches my time stamp criteria. Could I just run that on the big tables (post, postedithistory, postparsed, and thread) and leave the other data? For this purpose it's fine if my data tables are bloated with extraneous data, as long as it doesn't cause errors. I really want a quick way and don't mind the extra disk space or the DB being a little slower. |
