Hi,
we have 100's of very small subforums we would like to act as forums without necessarily showing the main forum home unless you are given a link to it. As a result we would like to restrict the bread crumbs just to show the subforum - Is this possible? Our main board is here - www.neighbours.ie/dublin but no one really want to see the main board - they are more interested in their subforum - e.g. - Lusk Vllage - http://www.neighbours.ie/dublin/forumdisplay.php?f=530 any help would be great, thanks in advance, Gary |

If I understand you just want the main forum out of the breadcrumb? That's possible of course, but you'd need a plugin, or possibly you may need to edit code. There's usually a hook location right before a page template is rendered, so you maybe could write a small plugin to modify the value of the breadcrumb string before it's used.
I know this isn't the programming forum, but it's the best answer I know. If this sounds like the right solution but you're not a php programmer I might be able to help. |

looks like you got it worked out? was going to say just at the link to all your forums in navbar.
i have been currently working on my own style and design to get rid of the sub look as to me it looks messy, but each to ther own. i have cut forumhome down big time and will create drop down for all forums etc, make stuff easy to find. lot neater www.teencelebrity.net anyway good luck ![]() |
