archive "simple view" should 301 if not enabled. Bug not fixed in vb 3.6.x version

i have same problem with this bug tracking http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/proje...?issueid=24555 , i just realize this after 4 years installing my forum , its little problem, but if can its should be fixed

When "Display Simple View of Threads" is set to "no", the archive points to the actual threads.

But, if a search engine knows a "simple view" URL, it can still see and download it.

The problem is that these pages remain in the search engine's index.

My suggested solution:
Use a 301 redirect for requests for URLs like this
/archive/index.php/t-123456.html
to
/showthread.php?t=123456

If that isn't possible, at least give a 404.

its say its fixed in vb 3.7.0 Beta 5, but its looks like Not fixed in 3.6.x version, i am using 3.6.12 and cant upgrade to higher vb version because some reason

please if anyone have simple hotfix for this little problem, it is needed for all vb 3.6.x users including vbulletin.org forum that still using 3.6.12

ok founded the solution by my self, any one that still using vb 3.6.x version, and admincp >> vb options >> Search Engine Friendly Archive >> "Display Simple View of Threads" is set to "no", can use this too,
if there is better solution please share too, but this way already works

open archive/index.php file

find and remove this

thats it, thread simple view in archive like this domain.com/archive/index.php/t-123456.html will never showing again
