OK... Geez, I'm so embarrassed to even ask about this, because I'm sure it's a total "noob" question.
So, basically, I have a vbulletin 4.0 install on my computer, locally. (Using wampserver). I'm trying to edit the css of a theme. However, whenever I edit any template - in this case, vbulletin.css - no changes show up once I reload the page. I'm assuming this is some kind of caching thing that vbulletin does..... However, I'm trying to make really basic changes to a template (like color changes) and I'm really frustrated because they're not showing up. I hope I'm explaining this issue well enough. I'm using Firefox, and again, the issue is that changes just don't show up whenever I edit a template and save the changes. |

Are you doing a Force Refresh (shift + apple + R)?

Hmm... I think I figured it out. It wasn't a caching issue. It looks like I was only editing the vbulletin.css file... and I also needed to edit in the the "StyleVars" area. Oi vey.
Thanks for the response, Lynne. I didn't even know about a force refresh option, so that will be really helpful, too. I guess I'm still just getting the hang of editing vbulletin templates. I'm so used to creating WordPress themes that tackling vbulletin seems like a foreign environment. |
