I'm going through the process of disabling my plugins, but I don't even know when this started, but I'm noticing that when you view a thread on my 3.8.3 board, the view count increases by 2 instead of 1.
Has anyone experienced this before or does anyone know of a mod which causes this type of problem? or what, in general, could cause this? it might help me narrow it down and find the problem. --------------- Added [DATE]1283793577[/DATE] at [TIME]1283793577[/TIME] --------------- ok, I've disabled the plugin/hook system entirely and it's still doing it. I dont think I've modified any actual files, or only a couple. --------------- Added [DATE]1283803957[/DATE] at [TIME]1283803957[/TIME] --------------- I don't even know where to look at this point, I've tried a couple of things, but there is no info on this problem anywhere that I can find, and without knowing how/where/when view counts are updated I don't know how to trace this. --------------- Added [DATE]1283804240[/DATE] at [TIME]1283804240[/TIME] --------------- OK, I THINK i solved this, by total mistake. For those using FF3 and the addon "Interclue" this will cause a page view to be registered when it does it's thing (preview whats at a link by hovering over it) I guess when I was hovering over the link for a fraction of a second to click it, interclue would load it for preview, then when I clicked the link that would be view number 2. This is good info to have here in the random chance anyone else has this same problem and addon. |
