I understand that the calendar can display two types of information; member birthdays and events. I'd like to be able to be able to manually add birthday type entries into the calendar so I can create custom anniversary entries into the calendar.

I hope this makes sense. If not, I'll try to elaborate further.

Under the Calendars section of your admin, find the Holiday Manager and add whatever you like, set it to recuring and add dates.
