I've never encountered this problem before in any HTML. I created an image map in a local html file. The image map works fine. I uploaded the file and image to a webserver to test it remotely - it still works fine. However, when I paste the html into a vbulleting article or post, somehow the coordinates do not match up where they are supposed to.
The image is a map of the United States, and the map defines a different link for each state - very simple, standard, valid html. So when you hover over California, the link should take you to the California URL. What happens is that as you hover around over California, you'll also see sections of the state that link to New Hampshire. Again, it only happens when pasted into vbulletin. I've tried removing all line breaks from the html before pasting into the article - didn't work. Has anyone else got an image map to work? Any suggestions? |
