!!!! Changing width of the forums?

Under my admin panel it gives me the option to change the Main Table Width (pixels or percentage) of the page size. But when I do that, It only does it for my header. Is there a way to change this. I only want to use 75 pecent of the actual site for header, body, and footer. Please help!!!!
