Albums vs vbGallery

Hello people,

I recently upgraded to 4.0 and after the install came to realise that vb 4.0 basically already has a gallery system inbuilt. So i am wondering whether anyone has really extended it enough to use it in replacement of vbGallery which is not a cheap product at all.

What i am asking is whether people previously using vbGallery have now found that they no longer need it, i mean watermarking images is great feature but the user Album inbuilt seems to be quite good. So with some hacks and modules would i be able to achieve the same results as vbGallery or will i not be able to do this ?
