How to close a forum without login [from database]

I own the server, my users were complaining about not being able to login ever since I upgraded to 384 PL2

Issue is that if you used to have the remember me option before the update, you will still login without having any issues. Though all the newer user or user that login from another computer will have issues and won't be able to login.

If you logout and clear your cookies or login from another computer, you will realize that if you check the checkbox for remember me, you won't login at all and it will ask you to login again in an infinite loop.

After checking the remember me once, you need to clear your cookies, than login without clicking on the remember me checkbox else it will bug.
Than after doing that, you will be login for 1 page. As soon as you visit a new page, you will be logout.

Issue appear to be on firefox v2 and 3 and I am having the issue on iexplorer 8, some user very little about are still able to login but I believe it because they have the old cookies saved which isn't causing any issues.

Problem said, I need to close the forum, but can't login.
I am looking in the database but can't seem to figure out how to close the forum from the database variable or config files.

I changed my forum from
forum.example.com to www.example.com/forum and it fixed the issue.
