Is the search form on this site available as a mod?

I'm a Drupal developer, not (yet) familiar with the vBulletin universe, and I'm implementing a vB forum in connection with a Drupal site for a client. My client also wants a couple of modifications to the forum which strike me as things more quickly bought than built at this point:

• The search functionality as indicated in the title
• Ability to make a post visible in every subforum of a given forum. It appears to me one would have to duplicate the post
• Ability to assign permissions to moderate posts (sticky, lock, edit, merge one at a time) to a user

Do modules such as these exist?

Yes, you have a few preset staff groups (Moderators, Super Moderators and Administrators).

Terminology issues...it seems announcements are my client's "broadcast messages" which display in each subforum of the forum it's posted to. The search is the advanced search standard stuff, and they can probably learn to live with those four moderator powers ALWAYS traveling together.

Sorry for dumb questions; I just spent a week figuring out the configuration options and synchronizing avatars between the two systems. I couldn't find any reference to "broadcast messages" and figured if I was going to ask about them anyway I might as well toss in the two others I hadn't found yet.

Newbies do get confused with vBulletin, you aren't the only one.

There are two types of announcements: forum section announcements, which only appear in the forum(s) they are posted to and global announcements, which are set only in the AdminCP I think. Global announcements appear in every single forum section and in the User Control Panel. Global announcements are more important than section announcements.

Users can do advanced searches by going to the Search link in the navbar at the top of the forums.

Prometheus, you may want to also look at Notices. They are like announcements, only you don't have to open a thread to see the content of the announcement - the notice is just posted at the top of the forum.

Hard to get used to seeing oneself as a newbie again...facts is facts, though.
