My site is having alot of problems with spammers registering and posting VERY pornographic pictures. I'm banning about 4 or 5 a day. How can i stop this? Is there a way i can set it to where a new user can't post pictures until they've had so many posts?
And if so, can someone tell me how to do it? I'd really appreciate it. Thanks in advance |

1. Create a "New Users" usergroup and take away PM and thread starting rights.
2. Create a promotion from "New Users" to "Registered Users" after 5 posts. 3. The "Registered Users" usergroup should still not be able to send PMs, but can now create threads. 4. Use CAPTCHA and e-mail verification. |

Make sure your using the latest version of vbulletin
In the left column of the admin control panel - vbulletin options drop down - human verification options - either use image verification, question and answer or setup ReCaptcha. If you are using the standard captcha phrase, the spam bots broke that a long time ago. I think there is a modification where you can use 2 or 3 of the human verification options at the same time. |
