post move redirect

i know i can leave a redirect when i move an entire thread but is it possible to leave a redirect when i just move a single post?

we're looking at ways of cleaning up our forum. so we thought of a garbage collection thread where we just move all of the off topic / rubbish posts. it woudl leave the original thread intact as it is still relevant.
We seem to generate less grief if we could leave a redirect for an offtopic post rather than just deleting it.
