Default I love the UK

.... especially a nice Scottish Breakfast. But I will very happily settle for an English Breakfast, or an Irish one.

Clog mah arteries with the love!

Plus I just got back from a trip to nearby Inverness. Landscapes to die for, sheer beauty in the summer.

This is all true indeedy. First time I have ever been so far north in Scotland, though I visit Glasgow from time to time, and did Edinburgh last year I think, or year before that. Beautifuil weather, which made the landscapes so brilliant.

Good marmelade is another thing to die for.

Glasgow isn't so eye candy, infact I thought it was a dump. Greenock several miles a way is another story, breathtaking scenery when i last visited.

Before I ventured to scotland I took a detour to the lake district which has some of the best scenic views in england. Stayed in Penrith for a weekend with a friend and she showed me the views.

Scotland does have some nice views if you stick to the countrysides but go to any major town and you will see another side to scotland which is not so breathtaking.

Glasgow can be whatever you want really, you can go to the old parts and get swampped in scottish history or go to the more modern parts and see why so many people visit Glasgow every year.

Like every town and city in the UK and i'm sure thoughout the world theres two sides to what you want to see, the good and the bad, Its the same everywhere, be it London, Manachester, Paris, New York (Now i sound like a perfume ad )

Glasgow, has become an up and coming hot-spot. Especially since 1990 when it was named the European City of Culture.

Over the last two decades, however, Glasgow has been on a steep, upward curve, first with a civic campaign, "Glasgow's Miles Better," which promoted hometown pride in the 1980's, and then in 1990 when it was named the European City of Culture.

Creativity and tourist-friendly businesses flourished, helped in part by a large student population. Today, neighborhoods like Merchant City and the West End are buzzing with new bars, clubs, restaurants and shops.

The architecture in Scotland is second to none. Castles are favourable and in scotland there seems to be an abundance of them which have become populour around the world and that boosts the tourism trade.

Visiting Greenock some 12 years ago the visuals there are nice especially the shipyards that flourished in the early 20th centuries where some of the famous ships were built.

On the river clyde if I'm not mistaken.
