Getting Redirected while editing templates in Admincp

I am coming across another strange problem now, i was installing a mod which requires certain template modifications. I successfully edited few templates like forumhome, edito, etc but when i wanted to edit the Newreply and newthread template under New Posting templates, i am getting redirected to my homepage.

My forum is located in a sub folder, the main folder contains a wordpress blog. Forum root doesn't have any .htaccess file but i do have one default .htaccess file in the main folder and no modification has been made to it.

A week back i was not able to post or create new threads and was redirected to the homepage, but after one day the problem vanished automatically.

Could anyone please help me in this regard?
