OK all, would someone be willing to log onto my site for a couple of days, and tell me whether or not you think it's slow? I will set up a test account. User: test Pass: testing
A while back I was having problem with the site moving REALLLY slow. It was even doing it to me. Now, I have members that are telling me that they have been so frusterated with the slowness that they are no longer coming back. I can't get it to move slow for me. I don't know what's going on. Personally for me, I'm getting frusterated getting all of these complaints at once, and not seeing anything wrong. Anyways, just post what you think might be wrong here, or email me questions@lacledeforum.com Thanks www.lacledeforum.com |

A few questions... Are the users that are complaining on dial up? If so, there's a LOT of images that would pretty much choke any dial up connection. Have the users done a tracert to see if there's a slow down anywhere between them and the site?
Many times a slowdown on a site isn't really the site. |

Just one on dial up. But I figured that was to be expected. He told me that he has trouble on all sites with his dial up. Haven't done the Tracert, but maybe I should suggest that. All of my users though are telling me that all other sites are fine, it just seems to be mine. My forum is a community based forum, and there is another Vbulletin Forum within the community. They say that it seems to run just fine. So that's why it makes me wonder.

The next time you get a complaint, take a look at your server load in AdminCP. The closer your load is to 1, the slower your site may become.
